Brand identity

A logo is only one element of a brand. Day to day, a company is also defined by its presentations, documents, social media content, website, advertising and dozens of other touchpoints. We design your brand identity as a practical visual system, with clear principles and templates, so your team can produce consistent materials without calling in a designer every time.

What a brand identity covers

Visual foundation
Colour palette, typography, graphic elements, image style and the rules for using them together.
Business documents
Templates for the documents your project needs, such as business cards, letterheads, proposals and email signatures.
Presentation templates
Basic principles and templates for presentations, to help your team keep a consistent visual language.
Social media kit
Profile design and reusable visual templates for your company's social media channels.
Digital formats
Visual principles and elements for your website, digital advertising, email and other on-screen formats.
Brand book
The rules for using the logo, colours, typography and other elements, documented in one place for your team and external suppliers.

Consistency starts with clear rules

If a company has no single visual system, every new item it produces means making the same decisions all over again about which font to use, which colour to choose, how big the logo should be and how to lay out the information. The results are uneven, and the work takes longer. A brand identity turns these decisions into reusable principles, so that different materials look as though they come from the same company.

Discuss your brand identity

Rebranding - when the existing identity no longer fits the company

An identity does not have to change just because it is several years old. Change is justified if the company itself has changed significantly, the existing system no longer works in the channels where it is needed, or the materials have become inconsistent over time. In a rebranding project, we assess which of the elements people already recognise are worth keeping and what needs to be reworked, so that the identity once again fits the company's position and practical needs.

Process

Audit

We review your existing logo, materials and digital channels, and how the identity is being used in practice.

Direction

We define what the brand's visual character should be and which principles the system will be built on.

System design

We design the system of colours, typography, graphic elements and the materials included in the project.

Brand book

We document the principles for using the identity and prepare the templates and files your team needs.

Implementation support

We help you roll the identity out across your priority materials and digital channels, and answer the questions that come up as you start using it.

What you already have is a good starting point

If your business already has a logo, presentations, documents, a website and other materials, we start from those. We review which elements already work and can be kept, where they contradict each other and which everyday materials cause your team the most problems. That helps us build an identity around real needs rather than an abstract design kit.

Frequently asked questions

We already have a logo - can you build the identity around it?
Yes. We first assess whether your existing logo still works for the company and for the ways it will be used, both technically and visually. If it does its job, we can build the identity around it. If we see significant limitations, we explain which improvements would make sense.
How long does a brand identity project take?
The timeline depends on the scope of the identity, the number of materials you need, the state of your existing brand and the approval process. If we are also designing a new logo, we plan the two as a single project, one after the other, and set out the timeline in the proposal.
Will our team be able to use the identity on their own?
Yes. One of the main jobs of a brand identity is to reduce how often everyday work has to start with a designer. We hand over the templates and guidelines included in the project, so that your team can produce routine materials on their own while keeping to the brand's principles.
